Life is interesting as a freelance designer.
I've been working on two large projects. It's been very exciting. And an ongoing learning experiance since I'm so new to freelancing. Creating my own hours has given me a freedom to live. I can still go out and have a flexible social life, which is a new concept for me. However you still have to work, and keep track of hours and all these little details I never had to consider before.
One is drastically different than my usual stuff. I designed a room for this boy on Extreme Makeover Home Edition. Ceiling, all 4 walls, floor, closet doors, window panels, the works. The whole room was my canvas. We created this really cool cubism effect. I'm anxious to see it on the show when it airs for the finale episode.
The other is right up my alley. I'm working with the CA Department of Health on creating this year's poster for Womens Health Month.
I'm also working on my portfolio website and other small personal projects.
Life is good. It's about time!

To see most of my work go to my portfolio. There is a link at the top of this journal.
